Whether you’re into competitive titles like Fortnite, Rocket League, or Marvel Rivals, esports is proving that video games are more than just play—they’re a platform for connection, skill-building, and even scholarships.
Here at East, the esports club has seen huge growth over the past year. With regular practices, online scrims, and even tournaments against other schools in the region, our team is quickly becoming a strong competitor in the state.
But esports isn’t just for players. Students can get involved in a variety of roles—like shout casting (that’s esports commentary), game analysis, streaming production, and event management. It’s a whole digital ecosystem, and there’s a spot for everyone
In fact, over 200 colleges in the U.S. now offer esports scholarships. That means students can turn their gaming passion into a potential career path—whether in playing, game development, broadcasting, or marketing.
So, if you’ve ever thought video games were just a pastime, think again. Esports are changing the game—literally—and East is ready to play.
