The Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) is a college-based program designed to train students to become future leaders in the military while developing essential life skills. Available in universities across the U.S., the program is not just about preparing students for military service, but it also emphasizes the importance of values like citizenship, integrity, and personal responsibility.
ROTC provides leadership training alongside traditional academic education. It is open to both high school and college students who are interested in serving as commissioned officers in the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, or Marine Corps. While enrolled, student’s complete military science courses and participate in physical fitness training, leadership labs, and field exercises. Upon completion of the program and graduation from college, students have the opportunity to serve as officers in the military.
