On October 5th, the Cheyenne East Junior Varsity football team delivered an impressive performance at home, securing a 50-29 victory over Kelly Walsh. The game kicked off at 10 a.m. at Okie Blanchard Stadium, where the Thunderbirds showed dominance on both sides of the ball.
Cooper Hassler and Tyree McQord each contributed a touchdown, helping the team build an early lead. On defense, Coach Blunn’s strategic scheme kept the Kelly Walsh offense in check throughout the game, forcing key turnovers and shutting down their playmakers. Meanwhile, Coach Garcia’s offensive game plan proved unstoppable, guiding the team to a high-scoring victory.
With a well-rounded team effort and excellent coaching, the Thunderbirds proved why they’re a force to be reckoned with this season.
