Some of the greatest heroes of world war 2 were deleted from the American history books. The Tuskegee Airmen were some of the bravest and most successful pilots of the war. But they had one problem – they were black. Tuskegee Airmen James Harvey 3 came to East high to talk to the students about his experience of being an American WW2 fighter. He told the students that he isn’t just an amazing WW2 fighter. He told the students that he isn’t just an amazing WW2 fighter pilot but one of the Tuskegee Airmen Red Tails. A Tuskegee Airmen is a name for an African American military pilots who fought in WW2. The 332nd fighter group, which originally included the 100th,301st, and 302nd fighter squadrons, was the first black fighter squadrons, was the first black flying group. The 302nd fighter groups began flying heavy bombing escort missions and continued in July 1944. The Tuskegee Airmen were the first African American military aviators in the united states armed forces. The Tuskegee Airmen were subjected to the discrimination they were both within and outside the army.

The CAF Red tail squadron is a non-profitable education outreach group that tells the story about the amazing Tuskegee airmen. The mission of the red tail squadron tries to persuade people of all ages all over the world to learn about these amazing people that were the first black flying group.
